"Subbah," meaning "a new morning" in Hindi, celebrates India's rich textile heritage with a fresh, modern touch.  Driven by a shared dream of a mother daughter duo, this young brand is dedicated to work with Indian artisans and striving for end-to-end sustainability.Inspired by the world around us, we are crafting stories that, hopefully, will become a valuable part of your cherished memories. Our family name Diwakar (the Sun), shines through our logo and symbolises a fresh awakening in the morning glory.

Philosophy

Subbah’s light focuses on reimagining Khadi in a way that speaks to the heart. We create clothes that are deeply rooted in personal experiences, the beauty of our surroundings, and the stories that inspire us.

 Our hand-drawn illustrations bring these stories to life, carefully crafted into textiles that range from Khadi to Mal. These fabrics are as gentle on your skin as the stories are to our hearts.
